the band's drummer
It’s a quietly bold project that shows a softer side of the avant-garde
on the one hand it sticks out more for sounding very different than most of the recent stuff that has passed across my turntable
the band have harnessed the momentum from that record and run full pelt into their second
Deceptively complex rhythms filled in by twangy guitars and gently emphatic drums are swept away in a river of vocally harmonized honey
ANTHENE & SIMON McCORRY - Florescence LP Indie the band's drummerlorescence marks the third collaboration between anthne and Simon McCorry, and the first to be released on vinyl. The album follows mind of winter (released on Hidden Vibes) and continues the duos blend of cello, guitar, electronics and various acoustic instruments. This time the focus is on the spring season, with pieces acting as reflections on the albums title, which essentially is the process of flowering and blooming.
