JOB TITLE : Engineer - Project Coordinator

DEPARTMENT : Engineering Projects Division

RESPONSIBLE TO : Project Manager


■Should have Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Minimum 5 Years Experience in Industrial & Construction Field.

■Clear Understanding of design/execution aspects of HVAC, MEP.

■To liaise with Design Team and Project Execution Team.

■Ensure Project Team receive the information needed to progress the Site Installation works in accordance with the Approved Program.

■Coordinating project schedules, resources, equipment and information.

■Liaising with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives.

■Ensuring that clients’ needs are met as the project evolves.

■Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information.

■Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes.

■Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives.

■Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.

■Help prepare budgets.

■Analyze risks and opportunities.

■Oversee project procurement management.

■Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.

■Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.

■Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers.

■Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures.

■Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement).

■Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.

■Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.

■Making sure that your team has the tools they need to execute the project.

■Creating a project schedule, with milestones, due dates and estimates for those materials that are required and other resources, such as team members, which will then be submitted to management for approval.

■Helping with the documentation of each phase of the project, as well as making summary reports that will be presented to the organization’s management team.

■Working with team members in the field or on site who have project issues.

■Keep up the morale of team members and build relationships with them to develop a strong working unit and supporting their impact on the success of a project.

■Sharing relevant documentation and reports with project teams.

■Providing information and regular support to stakeholders.

■Being point of contact for various working groups.

■Developing in-depth understanding of project scope and particulars i.e. timeframes, financials, outcomes.

■Ensuring resources and equipment are always available.

■Understanding formal escalation and review processes.

■Providing support to project managers and business leaders when requested

■Thorough project documentation.

■Creating and reviewing of reports.

■Knowledge of industry best practice.

■Coordinate with the quantity surveyor for monthly bills in providing the required inputs.

■Organize weekly coordination meetings with Project Team and Design Teams.

■Coordination with Main Contractors, Consultants (Coordination Drawings, Procurement Schedules, Programs ,Progress Reports ,Requests for Information's etc).

■Attend Project Team Meeting as required.

■Track the Progress against the Main Program and report any variances to the Project Manager.

■Provide the Project Team with up to date information on current Services developments.

■Regularly check the installation against the Project Specification and Approved Shop Drawings.

■Carry out site Inspections of Works to ensure the Installation conforms to the relevant standards.

■Any other related job as assigned by superiors.

■ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System: Understand, promote and comply with HSE policies, procedures and practices throughout the work area to prevent injuries, illness and property damage. Understand HSE risks associated with the work area thru proper risk assessment and corresponding control measures. Promote and practice safety first and accident prevention. Take action on dangerous situations, hazards, non-conformities and incident reporting. Give assistance in correcting unsafe practices, investigating accidents and taking corrective and preventive action. Supervise Lockout & Tag out (LOTO) during electrical work, wearing of PPEs, Emergency Response and Safety procedures & practices, procedures and policies. Communicate to all staff the requirements and compliance of HSE.
